Account and data deletion

Delete your FridgeChef account

The fastest verified method is in the Android app: open Settings → Privacy → Delete account, review the consequences, and confirm. This authenticates the request and removes the account's application data.

Request deletion without the app

Email privacy@fridgechef.recipes with the subject “FridgeChef account deletion request.” State the email linked to your account, if one exists. Do not include passwords, tokens, payment information, or photographs. We will ask for proportionate account verification before processing; an email alone does not authorize deletion of an unverified account.

Data removed

Deletion removes the FridgeChef user profile, active sessions, linked identity references, ingredient detections, recipe records, inventory, history, preferences, entitlement state, and associated application records. Local app data is removed when deletion completes in the app or when the app is cleared/uninstalled.

Data that may remain temporarily

Encrypted backups expire through the backup lifecycle. Limited transaction, security, anti-fraud, or legal records may be retained where required, then removed or de-identified when no longer necessary. Google Play purchase history is controlled by Google and is not erased by deleting a FridgeChef account.

Timing and questions

Verified requests are processed without unreasonable delay. Complex or legally restricted requests may require additional verification. Questions can be sent to the same support address.
