Privacy Policy

This policy explains how FridgeChef handles information when you use the Android application and this website. Questions can be sent to privacy@fridgechef.recipes.

Information used

FridgeChef creates an application user identifier for guest sessions. If you choose Google sign-in, the service receives the identity information Google provides, such as your account identifier and email address. The service stores ingredient detections, recipe requests, saved recipe records, entitlement state, and account lifecycle records needed to provide the app.

Photos and ingredient recognition

On-device recognition is used where available. When optional cloud recognition is enabled and you consent, the selected image is transmitted only to process that request. FridgeChef does not store the submitted image in its application database. Detected ingredient names may be stored with your account so the requested recipe flow works.

Payments

Google Play and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription information. FridgeChef receives transaction identifiers, product and entitlement status, and related lifecycle events. FridgeChef does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Diagnostics and analytics

Optional diagnostics and product analytics may be used to understand crashes and app reliability. These services are configured to avoid intentional collection of recipe photos, authentication tokens, payment details, or free-text personal information. Analytics controls are available in Settings when analytics is enabled.

Retention

Application records remain while your account is active or while they are needed for security, transaction integrity, legal obligations, and backup recovery. Operational backups expire according to the service backup schedule. Purchase records may need to be retained where required for financial or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your choices

You can correct or remove ingredients, revoke AI consent, sign out, and request account deletion in the application. The public deletion process is available at fridgechef.recipes/delete-account.

Security and transfers

Production traffic uses HTTPS. Access tokens and server credentials are protected using platform and server controls. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to their applicable safeguards.

Children

FridgeChef is a general cooking utility and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
